TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH; Ketley Blue Red and Brown Brindle Squares when tested exceed 125N/mm2. Although there is no standard method of measurement of special bricks in BS 4729, Ketley special bricks perform in the same way as the squares.

WATER ABSORPTION; Blue and Red Squares are less than 4.5% when tested to EN 772 - 7 Brown Brindle Squares are less than 7% when tested to EN 772 - 7

INITIAL RATE OF WATER ABSORPTION; <1.0kg/(m2 x min) when tested to EN 772 - 11

SOLUBLE SALT CONTENT; S2 when tested to EN 772 - 5

FROST RESISTANCE; F2

MANUFACTURE; Etruria Marl fired to 1150°C
